Te Bheag

Té Bheag (pronounced chey-vek) is an artisan, small-batch blended Scotch whisky produced by Pràban na Linne on the Isle of Skye.

Overview & Heritage

• Name Meaning: In colloquial Gaelic, Té Bheag translates affectionately to "the little lady" or "a wee dram".
• High Malt Content: Unlike mass-market standard blends, Té Bheag boasts an unusually high 40% single malt composition, combined with quality aged grain whiskies.
• Aged Components: The single malts within the blend—sourced from Islay, the Islands, the Highlands, and Speyside—are matured for 8 to 11 years, heavily utilizing ex-sherry casks.
• Non-Chill Filtered: Bottled at 40% ABV without modern chill-filtration, it retains its natural oils, body, and full-bodied character.

Tasting Profile

• Nose: Soft, sweet, and aromatic, featuring notes of honey, toffee, barley sugar, and subtle, briny coastal peat smoke.
• Palate: Creamy and complex with a rich toffee-and-sherry sweetness, balanced by gentle wood spices, citrus, and a dry, earthy touch.
• Finish: Medium-length and smooth, leaving behind a lingering warmth and a hint of sweet-and-salty character.
