A well balanced, malty and bitter German Altbier from Brauerei Schlosser of Dortmund.

Altbier is a traditional German beer style that originates from around Dortmund and is a copper coloured and fairly full bodied beer, quite different to pale pilsners and lagers.

This one is an excellent example of the style. Conditioned for an extended period to mellow out the fruitiness and give a superbly smooth and delicate taste, it has a warm, dark amber colour and a light sparkle.
