500ml Glen Spean Brewery Dark Mile Porter at 5.0% ABV Dark Mile Porter – flavored with Scottish blackcurrants from Blairgowrie and Vanilla paste & pods from Madagascar. This beautifully crafted Porter combines the sweetness of blackcurrants with the smooth rich textures of vanilla to soften the naturally bitter dark malts traditionally used in this style of beer. The name Dark Mile or Mile Dorcha is inspired by the haunting shadows of the woodland shaded paths north of the Great Glen taken by Bonnie Prince Charlie as he evaded the Hanovarian troops whilst heading to the west coast during his escape across the rugged highlands.
