Lochlea Distillery have released their third and final Harvest Edition, double matured in re-fill Bourbon barrels and Port hogsheads, alongside a single Oloroso Sherry butt.

Sitting at 46% ABV, this third and final Crop is another year older, offering a different take on the sweet and summery flavour profile typically associated with the Harvest series.

On the nose, indulge in notes of strawberry jam and clotted cream, giving way to freshly baked apple pie and white chocolate on the palate. The finish is beautifully balanced with a hint of cracked black pepper.

The Harvest Edition whiskies are inspired by the annual barley harvest that takes place on Lochlea Farm. Each year the farmland is sown with Laureate barley seed, which is eventually used to produce the single malt whisky.

It’s been a soggy summer for the 2024 harvest but hopefully we get some sunshine so Lochlea can keep producing these fantastic whiskies.
