Yet another release from Ardnamurchan distillery this year! This one is matured in dessert wine casks from the Bordeaux region in France. Sauternes AOC produces wine made from Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon and Muscadelle white grapes, which after the development of ‘noble rot’ gain a sweet, aromatic and gently oaky character. Ardnamurchan’s s bright and spicy spirit character in this release pairs beautifully with the apricot and almond flavours coming from the Sauternes cask.
