Here is a particularly excellent Singleton of Glendullan single malt here, released as part of Diageo’s 2021 Special Releases. This has been matured in refill American oak casks, before being given a finishing period in Cognac casks. Cognac casks can be overpowering, but this is a superb well-balanced single malt, bottled at cask strength of 54.6% ABV.  The theme for the Special Releases this time was “Legends Untold”  inspired by stories real and imagined around each distillery and as such this one features a mythical creature.
