Here we have a tasty Mortlach 13 year old single malt from Diageo’s 2021 Special Releases. This release from the ‘Beast of Dufftown’ distillery is a 13 year old, matured in a combination of virgin and refill American oak casks. This has created a typical Mortlach style with lots of body and richness from the cask strength bottling. Bottled at 55.9% ABV, tasty stuff indeed.  The theme for 2021’s Special Releases is Legends Untold, inspired stories real and imagined around each distillery, and this one features a howling wolf on its label.
