"So, by drinking this low alcohol vanilla Milk Sour, we need to teach ourselves that it’s okay to have contrasting flavours, if they can balance each other out. Wrap your head around it, it doesn’t actually taste that bad. A bit weird yes, but so is pineapple on pizza! And aside from the typical lactic acid taste we are used to from this style, it provides the aroma of a vanilla ice cream float, and the taste of a vanilla milk bottle sweet; two things that send a signal to your brain saying “take me back to the care free days”. Clean, crisp, low in alcohol and hazy in appearance with flavours of lemon, mint, green tea, hints of melon and a low bitterness to finish.
Black Isle - Systems Theory - West Coast Edition
Black isle and poppels from sweden collaborated a year or so ago to make a fantastic imperial stout called systems theory. Since then the beer has been maturing in whisky barrels and is now ready to make a reappearance. The west coast version used islay barrels which gives a peaty flavour. Cracking beer.
